Discover a region of Italy that few have experienced- the Southern Appennine mountain’s of the Abruzzo region! The Abruzzo is a very diverse region, extending all the way to the Adriatic. It has impressive mountains, a vast national park- the largest in all of Italy, a great plain and a history of fine cooking. This exclusive cycling vacation combines the area's most scenic routes along with exploring some of the most charming "non-tourist trap" towns in Italy. Trip highlights include overnights in Leonessa, L'Aquila and Pescasseroli. You'll ride past hilltop medieval villages on picturesque roads that wind in and around the Abruzzo Nature Parc.
